Passing transitions my focus from the heaviness of grief to the residual tremors of loss, years after the sudden death of my mother. This series explores routine moments when I most feel the absence of my mother. Each image incorporates embroidery as a means to hold onto the passing moment and materialize my mother; however, with each stitch, I am reminded that loss is a continual experience. It is steady, ongoing work.
